IDEXX ProCyte Dx Hematology Analyzer

IDEXX ProCyte Dx is a hematology analyzer designed specifically for veterinary use by IDEXX Laboratories, a global leader in veterinary diagnostics and software solutions. The ProCyte Dx analyzer provides rapid and accurate blood analysis for veterinarians, helping them diagnose and monitor a wide range of health conditions in animals.

The device uses advanced technologies, such as laser flow cytometry, to perform a complete blood count (CBC) on animal patients. It can evaluate multiple blood parameters, including red blood cell count (RBC), white blood cell count (WBC), platelet count, hemoglobin concentration, hematocrit, mean corpuscular volume (MCV), and mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), among others.

The ProCyte Dx analyzer is the latest addition to the IDEXX VetLab® diagnostic suite of in-house analyzers and is validated for use on horses, dogs, cats, cattle and ferrets. The ProCyte Dx analyzer provides a complete blood cell count with 24 parameters, including reticulocyte (dog, cat, cattle and ferret only) and platelet counts, and an advanced five-part white blood cell differential, all in 2 minutes.

Analysis that is capable of performing:

Globe. Reds, Hematocrit, Hemoglobin, VCM, RETIC-HGB, Reticulocytes, RDW, HCM, HCMC, Platelets, MPV, PDW, PCT, Glob. Targets, Monocytes, Lymphocytes, Neutrophils, Band Neutrophils, Nucleated Erythrocytes, Eosinophils, Basophils.

It can also process samples of synovial fluid, abdominal and thoracic fluid by issuing the following parameters  TNCC,  AGRANS,  %AGRANS,  GRANS,  %GRANS,  RBC.

Returns 5 differentials of white blood cell populations + Dot Plot.

Functioning:

It combines the excellent and proven technologies of laser flow cytometry (Lacercyte) and optical fluorescence (VetAutoread) together with laminar flow impedance. Through its counting chamber, each cell is analyzed using this methodology, radically minimizing any type of machine error.

This results in the most complete blood count possible today in as little as 2 minutes with 30ul (0.03ml) of blood . 

Works with whole blood or abdominal, thoracic or joint fluids.

It is integrated and operates exclusively through the Vetlab Station  in which the results will be stored and you will obtain unique and integrated reports for each patient.

The team will receive updates and remote support through the IDEXX SmartService system.
